Stormwater Management
Rain and melting snow tends to flow over various surfaces, picking up a variety of trash, lawn chemicals, motor oils, and other pollutants on its way to local creeks, streams and rivers, and into our groundwater. If untreated, it can contaminate our drinking water, kill wildlife and even force the closing of our lakes and beaches.
In response to new NJ Department of Environmental Protection requirements, Franklin Township has enacted several new ordinances and regulations to help us improve the quality of stormwater runoff and protect our precious groundwater.
If we all do our part, we can help to protect our groundwater for generations to come!
