Every six years as required by Municipal Land Use Law, the Franklin Township is required to reexamine the master plan and make any amendments and adjustments that are considered necessary.
In 2004, the township created a brand-new plan, designed to prevent overdevelopment and sprawl. It basically replaced the 1999 plan, and has been modified twice since its introduction.
