On June 12, Mayor Jake Bruno and Committeeman Mark Fiorella attended the dedication of Eagle Scout Sean Annuzzi’s community service project at Iona Lake. Sean, a member of Boy Scout Troop 21, built two separate landscaped elevated platforms, one with a handmade bench, the other with a handmade wooden picnic table.
Sean’s project was sponsored by many generous local businesses and individuals, including:
- Cipriani Builders
- Zambino Landscaping
- Danny’s Pizza Pizzaz
- Garoppo’s
- DeChristopher Memorials
- Mikey Anewz
- Pat Annuzzi
- Jared Albano
- Ryan Albano
- Andrew Martin
- Brad E.
- Troop 21 Leaders
Mayor Bruno said that supporting Sean’s Eagle Scout Project was an easy decision. “His vision and dedication embodies Boy Scout Founder Robert Baden Powell’s quote of ‘Remember, it is not what you have but what you give that brings happiness.’”
Franklin Township Department of Public Works assisted in securing the bench and picnic table in place, and ensuring that the project remains at the lake for years to come for all Franklin Township residents to enjoy.
