1. How can I get a copy of a police report?

Stop by the station Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. It’s a good idea to call ahead to see if the report is completed.

3. When should I call the police?

You should call the police department when you are the victim of a crime, need counseling assistance, or any other public assistance. We’re here to help you!

4. What information do the police need to help you?

The police need to know:

• Address
• Name
• Telephone number 
• What the problem is 
• Who else is involved 
• sometimes a brief history of the event or problem

Remember

Never hang up the phone until the dispatcher tells you to. Remember, the more you help us on the phone, the better the police can help when they arrive.

5. What if I’m not sure I need to call the police?

Call us anyway! We will be happy to direct you to the appropriate agency. We would rather you call and talk to an officer than to regret calling.

6. How do I receive information about neighborhood watch programs, D.A.R.E. programs, teen programs, bicycle registration, or crime prevention surveys?

Simply contact the police department at 856-694-1415, ext. 130 and a police officer can either meet with you in person or explain a program to you over the phone.
