STEAM Activity: Scratch Programming Language

Learn the basics of coding in Scratch and how to make a zero-gravity space game. So bring you laptops and Chromebooks and come have some fun! Open to grades 3 to 6 with a parent or guardian. Registration required

Graphic Novel Discussion Group for Teens at Franklin Township Library

A universe of stories? Try an alternateuniverse! This will be our topic along with other dimensions in both comics and manga. Our discussion will include the many different possibilities that can happen in these fictional worlds. Open to grades 7 to 12. Registration requested.

Free Bath Bomb Craft at Franklin Township Library

Join us for an evening of fun and learn how to make bath bombs! The scents we will be making are lavender, peppermint, and lemongrass. Adults only. Space is limited and registration is required.

Lego League at Franklin Township Library

Join us and build your favorite float or most-liked part of a parade. Together we will create a 4th of July Parade of Legos! Open to youth grades 6-12. Registration required

Wednesday, June 26 - 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Dungeons and Dragons at Franklin Township Library

We will take a step into space, in a galaxy far, far away and play Star Wars D20. Youth in grades 6-12 will learn how to make character sheets for this universal new format that is starting in June and continuing through August. Will you be a rebel scout, Ewok or a smuggler scoundrel Gungen? The choice is all yours! Registration required

Jack and the Beanstalk with the Country Garden Club

Come join the Country Garden Club for this “giant” event! We will be reading the story of “Jack and the Beanstalk.” Afterwards, we will plant green beans and discuss the life cycle of the bean plant. There will be various other activities such as: magic bean art, bean bag toss, help the Golden Goose find her golden eggs, golden egg exchange, and a chance to guess the number of jelly beans (winner takes all). Refreshments available. Ages 3 to 8 with a caregiver. Registration is required and space is limited.

Summer Reading Program Kickoff at the Franklin Township Library
 
Join us as we kick off this year’s “Universe of Stories!” We’ll learn about butterflies with Butterfly Rick and enjoy ice cream afterwards. Shapes by Sean will also be here to create balloon sculptures for the children. Open to all ages. No registration required.
